Blogs Ideas and Hosting

What I like to do when I’m looking for a home for my blog is to go to Google and see what people are doing with their blogs. I’m interested in the number of incoming links to the blog, hosting platform, and how many people leave comments.

I’ve seen many blogs with close to zero incoming links because it didn’t attract a lot of people to start leaving comments. (in my case I turn off the comments, because of the many boots attacking this blog – spam comments).

Find Blogs on Your Niche

You must understand that people who come to your blog want to leave comments and link back to you. You want to gain authority. In this case, you want to achieve link juice.

The other thing I like to do is to see what the top blogs in my niche are doing. The top blogs in your niche are the ones that are getting a lot of traffic. If the blogs on your niche are getting a lot of traffic, then you know that it must be worthwhile to invest time posting on your blog.

In my experience, it’s a lot easier to post on a niche blog that has a lot of incoming links coming to it.

What I like to do is to start by getting to know my niche. Do a Google search for your niche, which will bring up a lot of blogs. You can start visiting them, reading their content, and visiting their blog. Just do it. Don’t just jump into the middle of the page and jump straight to the one that looks interesting, do some research. It’s not what you’re going to be writing about. It’s more of an overview.

I recommend starting with GrooveBlog, which has free access, free hosting, free domain, and basically you have everything to start blogging and much more. Click the link below and be part of Groove-Bloggers…

Look after Quality Blogs

After you’ve been visiting and reading their blog, you can make an assessment. Most of them have a good point, some of them have a really good point, and some are completely off. Don’t get me wrong, don’t ignore the ones with a good point. It’s just that you want to stay on good pages.

You can quickly determine if the blog with the great points is worth your time by searching on your niche for keywords that get a lot of search results. I use AdSense keywords and target them, seeing how they get a lot of search results. For me, I can quickly tell if a blog is worth my time based on these keywords. If the blogs with many incoming links are getting a lot of traffic and a lot of searches, you know that it’s worthwhile to invest time on that blog.

Also, you need to make sure that your blog has a decent amount of quality content and a good amount of helpful information. You want to do these because, if you do these things, you’ll be able to make a lot of friends and influence a lot of people.

How to Build a Blog Where You Can Make Money

You have decided to become a blogger, and you have picked a topic, and you are getting ready to set out to make your blog. You have looked around, and you have noticed that the competition is very high. The majority of people who have blogs are making less than $5 per day, yet you think you can do better. You have some information that you believe you can use.

There is something you need to remember when you start a blog. A blog is a business venture. You have done your research, and you know that you can do better. That is fine. Now you are ready to make money from your blog.

Join Affiliate Programs

You can start by joining affiliate programs that are relevant to your niche. They are typically advertisements of some sort that relate to your niche. You have several to choose from, Clickbank, Commission Junction, and others. When you join an affiliate program, you will get relevant advertisements to place on your blog.

They usually relate to the products of the affiliate company. You must sign up for an account at the affiliate company’s website and then fill out the paperwork. You are then assigned a unique affiliate ID which you can display on your blog. When your visitors come to your blog, they will be taken to a page where they can pay you money if they so choose.

This is the easy part, sign up for the affiliate program you choose and start promoting them on your blog. If you have a very popular blog, you may want to consider signing up for more than one program. You want to be able to show the visitors you are interested in their products and services, which will help them choose you when they place their orders.

You will be building your blog, so it is big and beautiful, but that is not all you have to do.

You have to have good content because when your visitors see your blog, they will be interested in what you have to offer. You also want to give them some good reading material and use the sitemap so they can find your blog.

The last thing you have to do is monetize your blog. You want to get your visitors to your blog using your affiliate links. This is the easy part, sign up for your affiliate program and place your affiliate links in some places on your blog, and at appropriate moments during your blog’s run, you make some money. You have several options to choose from. You can sign up for affiliate programs with many affiliate programs such as:

  • Amazon
  • ClickBank
  • Commission Junction
  • Google pay

You can build your blog up to be very large and be very well featured. The more prominent your blog is, the better chance you have of making money.
